Belong Class
At Riverstone, we don’t have a formal membership process because we believe belonging goes deeper than a title. Belonging is about connection—walking together in faith, growing in Christ, and living out His mission in our lives.
There are so many ways to belong here, from events and classes to Life Groups, mission trips, and serving opportunities. Each of these is designed to help you take meaningful steps in your discipleship journey:
Believe and know God.
Become healed and set free.
Be empowered, serve God, and make disciples.
These steps aren’t just a path; they’re a way of life, and through the connections you build at Riverstone, you’ll discover how to live them out. We’d love for you to join us as we grow, serve, and follow Jesus together!
We want you to feel right at home here at Riverstone. One of the best ways to get connected is by joining us for our Belong Class, held every 4th Sunday after the 11:00 AM service. Over a shared meal, you’ll meet great people who are passionate about following Jesus and helping others do the same. This brief and informal gathering is a chance to get to know each other, hear about Riverstone’s story, Core Beliefs, and Values, and learn about the next steps in your journey of faith.

It’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on the hope and love of Christ — and an easy way to introduce friends, neighbors, and family members to the Good News of Jesus!
Community Church Easter Eggstravaganza is more than just a fun event — it’s a chance to come together as a community and share the hope of Easter. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to reach out and invite someone who may not have experienced church before. Whether they come for the eggs, the food, or the message — they’ll leave having encountered the love and truth of Jesus.
Don’t miss this incredible day of fun and faith — and be sure to invite your friends, neighbors, and family to join in the celebration. We can’t wait to see you there!

Community Youth Night
Along with Community Church is Community Youth - a group of youth ministry leaders that gathers kids from all over the Bismarck-Mandan area to make connections and grow in faith together! On Wednesday, April 16 at 6:30 PM students in grades 6-12 are invited to a Community Youth Service at Riverstone Church with worship led by the Community Youth team and a powerful message from Pastor Matt. Stick around afterwards for snacks, games, and fellowship! As always, students are encouraged to invite their friends!
Please note that there will not be any regular Wednesday night programs that evening. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to gather with other youth groups and experience a night of worship and community!

Journey to the Cross @ New Song Church
This Maundy Thursday, instead of our usual service at Riverstone, we’re excited to join Community Church at New Song Church for Journey to the Cross — an interactive Holy Week experience designed for all ages! We encourage you to attend and engage in this meaningful time of reflection rather than taking the night off. Guided tours through seven stations will begin every 10 minutes starting at 5:00 PM - be sure to keep an eye out for Pastor Matt and Maggie’s station along the way!

Community Church Good Friday Services
The Community Church will join together once more on Good Friday, April 18, for a meaningful time of worship and reflection at Riverstone Church. We will hold two services at 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM, and we’d love for you to join us as we remember the sacrifice and hope of Good Friday.
Kids ministry will be available during both services, but registration is required. Don’t miss this opportunity to come together and reflect on the significance of this day. We hope to see you there!

Empowered Conference
A Global Awakening Associate, William Wood is also a graduate of the Global School of Supernatural Ministry. Before William attended GSSM, he pastored as an associate pastor for six years. This church is still thriving and continuing the call of God in their region.
In 2005 William Wood had a dramatic encounter with God where he was supernaturally delivered from alcohol and drug abuse. Since this encounter, he has had a passion for revival and seeing people step into the fullness of what Christ paid for on the cross. For William, Ephesians 4:11–13 is a crucial passage: “And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.”
In light of this scripture, William is focused on equipping the saints for the work of ministry. His heart is to see the body of Christ become a mature man unto the measure of the stature that belongs to the fullness of Christ. As Jesus himself walked the earth as a mature son, William’s passion is to see the body of Christ walk in the same manner, thus fulfilling the declaration Jesus made in John 14:12, that we would do the works He did and even greater.
In William’s case, these motivations take the shape of itinerant ministry and discipleship. In regards to itinerant (traveling) ministry, William says, “I believe that by traveling across the world equipping churches through conferences, training workshops, power evangelism, and missions that we are helping them step into their fullness.” He describes his heart for discipleship as a belief that by helping churches develop their discipleship programs through a focus on Jesus’ model of discipleship, they will help to mature the body of Christ.
Riverstone Church is excited to host William for a weekend of of powerful preaching, teaching, and testimony on March 8-10, 2025. Save these dates on your calendar now and learn more about the ministry he does alongside his wife, Chantal, at hiskingdomreigns.org
We’ve also got some William Wood Bible studies and books on the way (estimated arrival next week). Check out the details here, and add your name to the sign up list in the hallway if you’d like to reserve a copy. All books are available for a suggested donation of $10 for those who would like to contribute. These donations enable us to continue to provide these resources for everyone, regardless of ability to pay.

Ash Wednesday Services
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent, a 40-day period of prayer, fasting, and reflection leading up to Easter. It is a solemn day when we acknowledge our mortality and our need for repentance, remembering the words from Genesis 3:19: “For you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” The ashes we receive on our foreheads symbolize both our sorrow for sin and our hope in Christ’s redeeming love. They are made from the palm leaves in remembrance of Palm Sunday, reminding us of the fleeting nature of worldly glory and the eternal promise found in Jesus. Ash Wednesday is not just about grief over sin, but about the invitation to transformation, as we hear in Joel 2:12: “Return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” This day calls us to turn back to God, seeking His mercy and grace.
Lent is a journey—a time of spiritual renewal, self-examination, and drawing closer to God through acts of devotion. Ash Wednesday provides the opportunity to step away from the distractions of daily life and refocus our hearts on Christ. By receiving ashes, we publicly acknowledge our need for God’s forgiveness and the hope of resurrection through Him. It is a powerful way to begin Lent with humility and intention, setting the tone for the weeks ahead as we prepare to celebrate Easter.
We invite you to join us for Ash Wednesday services on Wednesday, March 5, at either 5:30 or 7:00 p.m. Both services will include the imposition of ashes and processional communion, offering a meaningful and reflective start to the Lenten season. Please note that there will be no regular Wednesday night activities. However, high school youth group will gather at the Dolbecs' house (5200 Cornice Drive) following the 7:00 p.m. service.
Wherever you are in your spiritual journey, Ash Wednesday is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and realign your heart with God. We hope you will join us as we begin this sacred season together, embracing the call to repentance and renewal in Christ.

Gather 25
Right now, there are 5.5 billion people on earth who don’t know Jesus. From our family members, our friends, and our neighbors, to the unreached people around the world. If we are going to change that statistic in our lifetimes, we need to re-awaken the whole Church to the good news of Jesus once again. If we truly believed He was coming and coming soon, what would we do to reach them? What would the global Church be willing to do? Could 2.5 billion Christians on earth be mobilized to share the Gospel?
Here’s the good news. We believe it is possible.
Why now? This is an unprecedented moment in history where technology can connect us to one another in ways like never before. In 2025, for 25 hours, the Global Church will gather across six continents for a time of prayer, worship, repentance, and commissioning. Every time zone. Every language. Every denomination. Every generation. Some will gather in churches, some will gather in living rooms, some will gather on campuses, and some will gather in stadiums. But we will all be connected at once, across continents, lifting up a single shout of praise and a single prayer to heaven. This is a moment for every man, woman, and child who follows Jesus!
Gather25 is not just another event or church conference. The mission is critical. The vision is bold. And the necessity is clear: it will take all of us to bring Gather25 to life.
Gather25 is the biggest group project that you will ever be a part of! We need leaders, ministries, and everyday people to make it happen. If this will truly be a gathering of the global Church, then that means we need YOU to be a part of it. Gather25 is big, but it’s also small: personal invitations to friends, sharing the vision, and gathering together in our community.
What does this make possible? We can experience what God is doing all over the world unlike ever before. You will not believe the stories of God moving on earth today. They are so remarkable that we will be left feeling compelled to join in the bigger story that God is unfolding in our days. Then together we’ll take simple steps to live out the Great Commission and see Jesus Everywhere. This is what Gather25 is all about.
At Gather25, there will be seven core sessions across continents. Each session will be hosted by a single country, but you can expect to hear stories, teaching, and worship from multiple locations in each session. We will also be telling never-before-heard stories of the persecuted church.
Riverstone Church will be gathering together on Friday, February 28 from 7-11 PM and we’re inviting the whole city - not just our congregation! We’ll stream into every available theater to include as many people as possible! As the event grows near, we’ll be sharing more details about what Saturday will look like, but for now, we want to know: are you in?

The Princess Bride: February Movie Night
We’re not your typical church—we meet in a movie theater, making it the perfect setting to welcome others in a comfortable and relaxed environment. If you’ve been looking for a less intimidating way to invite someone to church, this is your chance! Join us for one of two showtimes: 4:00 PM or 7:00 PM!
This month’s movie night feature is the 1987 classic, "The Princess Bride." A kindly grandfather sits down with his ill grandson and reads him a story that has been passed down from father to son for generations. As the grandfather reads the story, the action comes alive. The story is a classic tale of love and adventure as the beautiful Buttercup, engaged to the odious Prince Humperdinck, is kidnapped and held against her will in order to start a war, it is up to Westley (her childhood beau, now returned as the Dread Pirate Roberts) to save her. On the way he meets a thief and his hired helpers, an accomplished swordsman and a huge, super strong giant, both of whom become Westley's companions in his quest. Rated PG, we encourage parents to check reviews on Common Sense Media or reach out to our Family Ministry Director for more details.
Our Movie Nights are always free but advance seat reservations are required. Due to the popularity of these events, we require each attendee to have a seat reserved in their own name. If you need help completing this form, please contact our office. Worship at The Rock
Mark your calendars and gather the whole family for an unforgettable night at Worship at The Rock on Wednesday, February 5, at 6:30 PM! This time, we’re switching things up and meeting in the Sanctuary instead of Theater 3—so don’t miss out on the fun!
At Worship at The Rock, we believe that faith should be exciting, engaging, and something the whole family can experience together. This month, we’re diving into the incredible story of Moses, a man who doubted himself but was uniquely chosen by God for something extraordinary. Maybe you’ve felt like you’re not special or that your gifts don’t really matter—but just like Moses, God has given you a one-of-a-kind purpose!
Of course, it wouldn’t be Worship at The Rock without a little bit of drama—and by that, we mean the return of our one-man Bible-story re-enactor, Reginald Fastidious, III! With his over-the-top storytelling, unexpected props, and questionable interpretation of historical events, you never know what’s going to happen next. It’s Bible storytelling like you’ve NEVER seen before, and you won’t want to miss it!
Whether you’re a kid, a parent, or just someone looking for an uplifting midweek boost, this night is for YOU. There will be energetic praise, meaningful worship, hilarious moments, and a powerful message reminding us that God has uniquely designed each of us for something amazing. So bring your family, invite some friends, and come ready for an evening that will encourage, inspire, and maybe even leave you laughing!
This isn’t just a night for our church family—it’s an opportunity to invite new people into Riverstone in a fun, welcoming, and engaging way! If you know a family looking for a church community, a friend who could use some encouragement, or a neighbor who might be curious about faith, this is the perfect event to extend an invitation. it’s a great way to introduce someone new to the joy and love of our church family. So don’t come alone—bring someone with you, and let’s pack the sanctuary as we celebrate the unique way God has created each of us!
