Palm Sunday Services
Holy Week starts with Palm Sunday, which remembers Jesus entering the city of Jerusalem. According to the Gospels, He rode in on a donkey while crowds waved palm branches and shouted praises, welcoming Him as a king. The donkey symbolized peace rather than military power, and the crowd’s excitement reflected their hope that Jesus would bring salvation. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of the final stretch of events that would lead to his crucifixion. Join us at Riverstone on Sunday, March 29 as we celebrate this triumphant entry to Jerusalem!
Palm Sunday Bake Sale
On Palm Sunday, there will be tables upon tables full of yummy treats and items from Peru for sale, so come hungry and ready to pick up goodies for your Easter festivities while supporting a great cause! Funds raised will help our high school mission team build homes and help with community initiatives such as food distributions, handing out Bibles, sharing the Gospel, and providing community events in Chimbote. We can’t wait to see how the Lord moves through these young people to share the love and hope of Jesus in 2026! Please keep this team in your prayers as they prepare!
Community Youth Worship
Teens in grades 6-12, you’re invited to a Community Youth Worship Night at Bismarck Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 1 at 6:30 PM. It’ll be a simple night to worship together, see friends, and have some fun. Bring someone with you and join us. We’d love to see you there.
Journey to The Cross
Later in the week comes Maundy Thursday. On this day, we remember the Last Supper, the final meal Jesus shared with his disciples. During that meal, He broke bread and shared wine, telling his followers to continue doing this in remembrance of him. This event is the foundation of the communion. At the same meal, Jesus washed His disciples’ feet, taking the role of a servant to demonstrate humility and love. He also gave them a new commandment: to love one another as he had loved them.
We’ll spend this Maundy Thursday celebrating Journey to the Cross, a newly re-imagined, immersive worship experience at New Song Church with our Community Church family at 6:30 PM on Thursday, April 2. Kids care for nursery - preschool will be provided, so be sure to arrive early if you plan to check kids in.
Good Friday Services
Good Friday commemorates the day Jesus was arrested, put on trial, and executed by crucifixion. Although it is a somber day marked by reflection and sorrow, we call it “Good” because we believe Jesus’ death had a redemptive purpose. We believe He willingly gave His life to deal with sin and to restore humanity’s relationship with God. The crucifixion is seen as the ultimate act of sacrificial love. Join us at Riverstone on Friday, April 3 at 5:30 or 7:00 PM for processional communion services with our community church family.
Easter Services
On Easter, His tomb was found empty, and He appeared alive to His followers. The resurrection is the foundation of our faith, because it represents victory over sin and death and offers the promise of new life. Easter is therefore the most joyful and hopeful day in the Christian year.
We hope you’ll celebrate this wonderful occasion with us at services on Saturday, April 4, at 4:00 PM (processional communion) or Sunday, April 5, at 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, or 11:00 AM (cup communion).
Taken together, Holy Week invites you into a story that moves from celebration, to love and service, to suffering and sacrifice, and finally to renewal and hope. If you’re new to Christianity, this week gives you a clear window into what we believe about Jesus: that He came humbly, loved deeply, gave His life for others, and rose again. It’s not just a set of historical events, but an invitation to consider what His life, death, and resurrection might mean for you personally; offering forgiveness, purpose, and the possibility of new life.
Riverstone Closed: Easter Monday
Riverstone will be closed on Monday, April 6 in observance of Easter Monday.
Movie Night: David
From the songs of his mother's heart to the whispers of a faithful God, David's story begins in quiet devotion. When the giant Goliath rises to terrorize a nation, a young shepherd armed with only a sling, a few stones, and unshakable faith steps forward. Pursued by power and driven by purpose, his journey tests the limits of loyalty, love, and courage--culminating in a battle not just for a crown, but for the soul of a kingdom.
Seats are free, but reservations are required, so be sure to save your spot in advance. We’ll have multiple theaters available, making this a great night to bring friends and family - there’s plenty of room for everyone. Join us for one of two showings on Friday, March 13 at 4:00 PM or 7:00 PM, and enjoy popcorn, candy, and drinks available for a freewill donation.

She challenges him to see life differently, leading to an unlikely friendship that turns his world around. A heartwarming and funny story about love, loss, and life, A Man Called Otto shows that family can sometimes be found in the most unexpected places.

February Movie Night: War Room
Have you ever felt like something in your life is quietly falling apart, your marriage, your family, your peace, even while everything looks fine on the outside?
“War Room” tells the story of Tony and Elizabeth Jordan, a couple who seem to have it all: successful careers, a beautiful home, and a daughter they love. But behind closed doors, their marriage is unraveling. As Tony wrestles with hidden struggles and temptation, Elizabeth grows weary and discouraged, until an unexpected friendship challenges her to stop reacting and start fighting for her family through intentional prayer.
This is one movie night you won’t want to miss. “War Room” isn’t about perfect people or easy answers. It’s about the real struggles that often hide behind polished appearances, the unseen battles we all face, and the power of prayer to bring clarity, healing, and lasting change. Whether you’re in a season of strength or barely holding it together, this story reminds us that victories don’t happen by accident, and that fighting for what matters most is always worth it.
Seats are free, but reservations are required, so be sure to save your spot in advance. We’ll have multiple theaters available, making this a great night to bring friends and family - there’s plenty of room for everyone. Join us for one of two showings on Friday, FEBRUARY 13 at 4:00 PM or 7:00 PM, and enjoy popcorn, candy, and drinks available for a freewill donation. And if you’re a woman age 18+, consider joining us one night early for a special Ladies’ Night showing of the film.
Come for a relaxed evening, a powerful story, and a reminder that faith isn’t abstract; it’s lived, fought for, and shared. We’d love to see you there.
