Welcome to Genesis: Rescue Mission, an exciting space-themed Vacation Bible School where kids embark on an unforgettable adventure through God’s amazing plan to rescue humanity!

This year, our journey begins at the very start: Genesis, the beginning of everything. Just like astronauts exploring a brand-new galaxy, kids will explore the story of how God created the universe perfectly, including the first humans, Adam and Eve. We’ll learn how God’s original plan was for us to live close to Him in harmony and love.

But as in every great space mission, things don’t always go as planned. We’ll discover how sin,  the choice to turn away from God, damaged God’s perfect creation and broke our connection with Him. This is where the mission shifts into “rescue mode.”

Our “Commander,” Jesus, comes on the scene as the ultimate rescuer. Through His life, teachings, and miracles, He shows us how to live God’s way. We’ll follow Jesus through His sacrifice on the cross; a daring and loving rescue mission that restored our relationship with God once and for all.

But the story doesn’t end there. Just like mission control sending a powerful boost, the Holy Spirit arrives at Pentecost, empowering Jesus’ followers to boldly carry the rescue mission forward! Finally, we’ll learn about the Great Commission, Jesus’ call to send His followers out into the world, our universe, to share God’s love and rescue plan with everyone.
