This summer, Riverstone is hosting the Kids Summer Movie Series again on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 AM, and it’s a great way to get the kids out of the house and into something that’s fun but also points them toward Jesus. We’ll be showing a different family-friendly movie each week, and there’s no set cost—just a freewill donation if you’d like. Popcorn, drinks, and fruit snacks will be available every week, so the kids can snack while they watch, and parents can relax knowing they’re covered.
One of the best parts is that this series isn’t just about watching movies—it’s also about creating space for faith conversations at home. Each week, we’ll send kids home with a simple activity sheet that connects to the movie, and parents will get a conversation guide with questions and talking points tied to scenes from that week’s film. It’s all designed to help families talk about what they’re watching in a way that brings Jesus into the conversation, naturally and without pressure.
You can reserve your seats online up to a month in advance, which helps a lot if you’ve got a group or a daycare planning to come. And we’d love for daycares and summer programs to be a part of this! Just let us know so we can make sure there are enough snacks and space for everyone. This is a great midweek outing that doesn’t require much effort but still gives you a chance to connect with your kids on a deeper level.
At the heart of it, the Summer Movie Series is about more than just something to do on a Wednesday. It’s a chance to bring our community together, open our doors to new families, and let kids experience the love of Jesus in a simple, welcoming way. Whether you’re coming with your own kids or bringing a whole crew from daycare, we hope to see you there!
