Adult Peru Mission Trip (September) Registration Deadline

  • Riverstone Church 2700 State Street Bismarck, ND, 58503 United States (map)

The registration deadline for our September Adult Mission Trip to Peru is April 5! If you've been thinking about joining us, now is the time to take that next step! Completed registration forms and the $300 non-refundable deposit must be submitted by the deadline. Forms and deposits can be placed in the black lockbox outside Maggie's office during regular office hours or dropped through the mail slot between our two sets of entrance doors after hours.

We're excited to be preparing for another year of ministry alongside our friends and ministry partners in Chimbote, Peru! Over the past several years, Riverstone has had the incredible privilege of partnering with Friends of Chimbote to share the love of Jesus in practical, meaningful ways. Together, we've helped build homes for families in need, distributed food and clean water, served in local communities, visited families in their homes, and prayed with people we've met along the way. Each trip is an opportunity to step outside our everyday routines, build relationships, and see firsthand how God is at work in another part of the world.

What makes these trips so special isn't just the work we accomplish while we're there. It's the relationships that continue to grow year after year. We've had the opportunity to return to familiar neighborhoods, reconnect with families, and serve alongside people who have become dear friends. We've watched God work through simple acts of kindness, conversations across language barriers, and the willingness of ordinary people to step out in faith and serve. And while we go hoping to make a difference in the lives of others, we often return realizing just how much God has changed our own hearts in the process.

We're planning four opportunities for different groups within our church family to travel to Peru in 2027:

April Adult Mission Trip: Registration closes October 30

May Young Adult Mission Trip: For young adults ages 18-30

June High School Mission Trip: For students currently in grades 8-12

September Adult Mission Trip: A second opportunity for adults to serve

Could God Be Calling You to Go?

You don't have to be a skilled builder, an experienced traveler, or someone who speaks Spanish to be part of a mission team. Some of the most meaningful moments happen when we're simply willing to show up, serve wherever we're needed, and love the people God places in front of us. Whether we're working on a home, helping with a community project, distributing food, spending time with children, or stopping to pray with someone, there are countless opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

And perhaps one of the greatest things about missions is discovering that God is already at work long before we arrive. We aren't bringing Jesus to a place where He is absent. We're joining in the work He's already doing through faithful local ministries, churches, and families who serve their communities every day.

As we prepare for 2027, we're praying that God will continue to strengthen these relationships, open doors for meaningful ministry, and raise up people who are willing to say yes when He calls. Whether you've traveled with us before or are considering your very first mission trip, we'd love for you to prayerfully consider being part of one of these teams.
